This program will plot up to five EELS or EDS spectra that have been saved in the EMSA format from the Gatan ELP program.  The plots can be printed and copied to other applications.  Spectra can be rescaled to the display all the spectra on the same intensity y-axis scale.  There is a notebook option that saves data in RTF format that can be brought into other programs easily.  The scale of the graphs can be chosen from linear, percentage, log, scaled and square root.  The axes can be rescaled and recolored.  The plot can also be recolored.  Noise in the spectra can be edited out.  The t/ ? (t/Lambda) value can be estimated or calculated from the symmetric zero loss peak.  The spectra can be converted to "XY" type EMSA formatted files that can easily be read into other programs such as Microsoft Excel.  It is ideally suited for taking data from a Mac machine to a PC machine.  Included in EELSPlot is EMPeriodicTable.  EMPeriodicTable will list the EELS edges and EDS peaks for an element selected in the table. It will find overlaps with a selectable energy range and display the available spectral lines in the available energy range of the spectrometer by color.  Extensive on-line help is available.
