If you don't read manuals then the notes below should get you started as quickly as possible.

Put the LatticeMaker Preferences File into the System folder if you are running 6.0.x.
If you are running System 7.0 or later then put the file into the Preferences folder in the System Folder. 
Don't worry if you don't do this as LatticeMaker will make a new Prefs file and put it in the correct location if it can't find one.

For users who have created  custom resource types. The format has changed slightly since v2.4 so you will need to read the manual to find out how to update the resources.
